Every keen gardener has something in common, their desire to see something grow!
It could a healthy lawn, giant sunflowers, rose bushes, you name it! It could be a whole range of different things, the key element is the growth part!
A key ingredient to see something grow is the preparation before hand!
Most healthy flowers or plants wont just spring up anywhere, you’ve got to prepare the ground first to create the most optimum growing environment!
I think exactly the same is true of us in our MONTH of MIRACLES!
This month your prayer may be completely different to someone else in Church, but we all share something in common, our belief and expectancy on God for something outside of our own ability… a miracle!
But just like a good gardner, we’ve also got to prepare the ground!
We’ve got to remove un-deeded obstacles and hindrances in our walk with God, before we can see the breakthrough we’re believing for!
2 Chronicles 7:14 says
‘If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.’
Our humility before God is a key element to preparing the ground for our miracle!
Humility realigns Gods authority and Lordship over our lives! It places us in a position of submission, which can then lead to a position of expectation!
It’s right to be expectant before God! In the Bible God tells us we can expect good things from him.
Psalm 31:19 says
‘How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.’
But I believe before expectancy, has to come humility!
It prepares the ground of our lives to receive all that God has for us!
