Why?
Before any event is started or a word is spoken our Core Cultures are six things that define the way we see every area of Church life and a great way of living for every Christian. Our aim is to build a church that embodies these cultures.
A definition of Culture:
‘The way we do things around here!’
Enthusiastic
A Church where people see life in all our members and activities. A Church that is full of passion, passion for God, people and life!
John 10:10
Relational
A Church where connections and relationships between people is a vital part of who we are. A community of believers, concerned for other people as much as ourselves.
John 13:35
Generous
A Church that is known for giving spontaneously, lavishly and without restraint. A Church where an investment of time, effort or finance is not seen as an additional requirement but part of who we are.
Proverbs 11:25
Excellent
A Church that is known for high standards, reflecting the heart of God by striving for excellence in everything, however big or small.
Malachi 1:8-9
Relevant
A Church that is relevant to todays world, with programmes and events that create opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience God and grow in Him.
Acts 15:19
Missional
A Church that exists beyond our 4 walls and beyond our town. A Church that is involved in the needs of our community, country and world.
Matthew 28:18-20
