Following Jesus

The Prayer

God loves everyone unconditionally and no matter what we’ve done he wants to start a relationship with us. That relationship starts with us asking Him for forgiveness.

We believe no one is perfect and that we’ve all made mistakes and messed up. When Jesus died, He dealt with all our messes it wouldn’t get in the way of us having a relationship with God.

If you decide that you want to follow Jesus and become a Christian, it starts by praying a simple prayer like the one below.

Jesus
I am sorry for the things I have done wrong in my life, please forgive me. I now choose to turn from everything that i know is wrong and follow you and put you first in my life.

Thank you that you died on the cross for me so that I could be forgiven and set free from my wrongdoing. Thank you that you offer forgiveness and a new life. Please come into my life by your Holy Spirit to be with me forever and help me to live for you each day.

Thank you Jesus

Following Jesus

Right now, you can make a decision to follow God and draw close to Him through Jesus.

God wants you to get to know Him, by knowing Jesus and entering into eternal life.

The Bible says:

Eternal life means to know and experience you
    as the only true God,
    and to know and experience Jesus Christ,
    as the Son whom you have sent.
^{John 17:3 (TPT)}

The name ‘Jesus’ means ‘God saves’ and we all need a Saviour. We have all messed up, done things wrong and fallen short of a perfect God. We’re not perfect! However there is good news, as we can have a Saviour in Jesus.

Jesus explained it this way:

“I am the Way, I am the Truth, and I am the Life. No one comes next to the Father except through union with me. To know me is to know my Father too. And from now on you will realize that you have seen him and experienced him.”
^{John 14:6 (TPT)}

Choosing to follow God means acknowledging our mistakes, asking for forgiveness and then choosing to follow Jesus. It starts by praying a simple prayer.
