Reading: John 7
Well done on completing a full week, we hope you’re enjoying it and getting lots out of it. The reading today is John 7, if you’ve not read it yet then pause here and read the chapter before finishing this post.
So the crowd was divided in their opinion about him.
Throughout this chapter we read several different opinions on Jesus. Some said He was good, others said He wasn’t, some said He was a prophet, the Messiah and others were unsure.
Whether you’ve been a Christian a week or 40 years, it’s important to continually grow closer to Jesus. Learning about Him by continuing to read the Bible, praying and experiencing Him for yourself. It’s important you to form your own opinions and have your own personal relationship with Jesus.
I know my experience of Jesus is that he is not only my Saviour but my hope, firm foundation, provider, healer, strength, comforter, peace and so much more.
What has your experience been?
It’s important you don’t keep your experience to yourself but let others know about how Jesus has made a difference in your life!
In the chapter everyone was talking about Jesus! But when it came time to speak up for him in public, no one said a word. Let’s not keep Jesus to ourselves, let’s live to influence, be salt and light, tell the world of his goodness!
Ask yourself today who is Jesus to me?
How do you think you could grow closer to Jesus?
Think and pray about who you could share your faith with, then be brave and invite them to join you at Church tomorrow!
You never know it may be the day they start their journey with Jesus!
