Week 3 of ‘Peter this is your life’ has been and gone and it was a good one.
We had an incredible day in Kids Church on Sunday, in Richmond we had over 60 children which is the most we have ever had and on Sunday evening we had an even more amazing night. It is so excited to see what God is doing in our little ones.
Here is what we learnt on Sunday.
Richmond, Barnard Castle and Penrith
On Sunday we learnt about how Peter denied Jesus three times but how Jesus still forgave him. Forgiveness is such a difficult thing for us as adults let alone children to grasp and understand and put into place. But holding on to un-forgiveness can cause so many problem.
When we don’t forgive people it’s a little like walking around with a stone in our shoe. It becomes uncomfortable and annoying. When we don’t forgive people we carry around bitterness and hurt and it becomes annoying.
We talked to the children about how we are forgiven by God so we should forgive others.
Here are some questions to ask your children about this week.
Tea Time Talk
- What is forgiveness?
- What did Peter do that Jesus forgave him for?
- Do you find it easy to forgive people or not?
- Is there anyone you need to forgive this week?
- Can you remember the big answer? I AM FORGIVEN
Next Week
Next week in HF we will be learning about what happened when Peter listened and obeyed God.
