What a summer we have had!
For 4 days and 3 nights, 27 kids from Hero Factory packed their bags and their bucket and spades and headed off on the Summer Camp adventure.
We had an amazing week. Although I feel I am only just catching up on my sleep now. I have so many amazing memories.
I love taking kids away to Summer Camp and just seeing them grow in their relationships with each other with the leaders and with God. We took away the best kids ever and it was an honour to be their and to serve them in this way.
We headed to Sneaton Castle the home of nuns, which was very exciting with Xcel church at the end of July, we had a jam packed week of fun, games, donkeys, water fight, sun, crying, beans, cornflakes, The will and Steve show, talents shows, film nights, disco and just so much more.
Through out the week we focused and looked on the story of the wise man and the foolish man, about how we need to make sure that we are building our life on God and on solid foundations. We saw kids connect with God in a whole new way and start to read their bible and pray for each other and lifting their hands in worship. Every morning we had connect groups and these were a great chance to disciple and to develop the kids.
We had an amazing week and as the weeks pass and the sun is disappearing and the memory of kids camp disappears my pray is that these kids continue to build their life on God. That although we had an amazing week and had so much fun that they will remember that the Lord is their rock and that he will never leave them.
Thank you so much to all the people who gave and prayed for us. We could not of got their with out you.
