WHAT A SUNDAY!
Hero Factory Kids Church was incredible on Sunday. Over the last couple of weeks we have seen Hero Factory just go to a whole new level in so many ways. One of my favourite things is to see how the kids and the leaders interact with each other.
One of my favourite things to do in Hero Factory is to just observe and watch. I love just seeing all the different things happening. You have the creative kids at the craft table creating a new masterpiece or getting covered in a paint, you have the 4 year old boys running around in circles chasing each other, you see the girls hanging around the goal at the football area annoying the boys who are taking this game of football way to seriously for a Sunday morning and everytime a goal is scored the girls squeal in excitement, then in the kitchen you have our kids serving team getting the drinks and biscuits ready and then amongst all that you have the Hero Factory champions themselves our incredible team just seeing and doing.
You have 1 leader getting her hair done in the corner while singing One Direction songs, then there is a leader in the football area pretending to be the next Beckham, then there is a leader sat with the quiet ones just chatting and laughing. This is Hero Factory, we are a community and we are a family. As leaders we love your kids and every week are committed to making sure they have the best time every from when they walk through those doors until you come and pick them up.
Our current theme at the moment ‘Movie Madness’ has been a HUGE hit, the kids are loving it. This week we watched our next part of the film where you see Carl the main character just going through a general rough time, his wife has died, he then is getting forced to move out of his house, then people damage his property and he is mad. He ends up hurting someone and it results in him going to court and then being made to move into an old people’s home. Things are tough. We chatted to the children about how Carl was feeling, we came to the conclusion he would be sad, lonely, upset, worried and scared. In life at some point we are all going to feel like this, but we were able to share with your children how when life is tough God is always there through it all and he will give us strength to fight and do anything.
We then went into our connect groups and had a great time chatting about what we need to do when life hurts.
Your children are incredible and our leaders see it as a HUGE honour to serve them and your family.
