What a HUGE morning at Influence Church. It was a great morning in church for everyone but especially for our 4 – 11s.
Yesterday we carried on with our ‘Bible’ theme and what I have loved about this theme is hearing how much the kids are enjoying reading their bible. Each week I am met with story after story of children reading bible stories with their parents and re-creating word for word what happened in the book of Joshua, Esther and the famous story of David dancing in his pants.
Parents I really encourage you to spend some time reading the bible with your children and helping them to discover and find their favourite stories.
We talked yesterday about how the bible is the word of God and it is a great foundation we need in our life, especially when bad times come. If we build our life on God and his word we will have his word in our life and know what we need to do when things go wrong. We talked about the story of the Wise Man and the Foolish Man.
We had a great testimony from one child who said this.
When my granddad was really ill everyone in my family was really scared and worried but I remember reading in the bible that we do not need to be afraid of anything because God is with us. So when im scared I remember that. I am never on my own.
Proverbs 22:6 says this ‘Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.’
My heart is that the kids of Hero Factory fall in love with the bible. That the bible is a solid foundation which they build their life on. If we train these incredible kids in the way to go know while they are young these things they learn will go with them as they become adults.
Next week we sum – up this theme before we start some Easter fun.
